The Other Sounds Concert Series is currently inactive. It is possible that the series will resurface at a suitable venue at some point in the future.
The Other Sounds concert series was created in December 1995 by Wally Shoup and Matthew Sperry with the expressed purpose of presenting adventurous, unconventional music in a comfortable and acoustically pristine setting. As the most consistent presenter of new and experimental music in Seattle, Other Sounds has hosted hundreds of local, national, and international musicians including John Butcher, Wolfgang Fuchs, Davey Williams, Kaffe Matthews, Francois Houle, Gino Robair, LaDonna Smith, John Edwards, Carolyn Kraabel, Stuart Dempster, Michael Bisio, Chris Cutler, and Harpy.
Other Sounds is administered, curated, and promoted by Wally Shoup, Dennis Rea, and Christopher DeLaurenti.
