Tenor saxophonist Adam Weiss is one of Seattle's most innovative saxophonists, composers, and educators. Best known for his current work in association with the Monktail Creative Music Concern and Open Music Workshop, he has also played with Julian Preister, Jovino Santos Neto, Chuck Deardorf, and Aaron Parks. Weiss leads an improvising quartet, the Burning Bliss, is currently involved in collaboration with choreographer Bianca Cabrera, and plays with the junk-rock band Freight Train Casanova. He graduated from Cornish College of the Arts, and currently is learning from his own students.
