Now in its 22nd year, the Seattle Improvised Music Festival will be held February 9, 10, 16, and 17, 2007 at
Gallery 1412 (at 18th and Union on Capitol Hill).
The longest running festival of its kind in North America, SIMF is an annual meeting place for improvisers at the forefront of Improvised Music in
North America, and from around the world.
This year's festival features representatives of Improvised Music communities in Berlin, New York City, Baltimore, the Bay Area, Vancouver BC, Portland,
and of course Seattle. The festival includes showcased performances from visiting soloists and ensembles while also featuring first-time collaborations between
festival performers.
The Seattle Improvised Music Festival is produced by Seattle Improvised Music in cooperation with
nonsequitur.
